Last night, Jason Evert and his wife, Crystalina, shared their stories of striving for chastity and finding God’s forgiveness. It was a very straight forward talk about sex — Jason pulled no punches in telling the guys not to use porn, and the girls to respect their bodies by dressing modestly. Their honesty about their own struggles and triumphs was a powerful testimony to the role that sexual purity plays in a young person’s life.
Steven and Sam from St. John Neumann were impressed with the message, and they were glad that the speakers were so upfront about the issues. I’ve heard over and over again that the Everts were one of the BEST things about NCYC ‘09.
