After singing, praying and hearing from Cardinal Daniel DiNardo of Galveston-Houston (an overall “more spiritual” morning in comparison to the wild opening general session, according to Matt Landwehr of St. Ann in Wadina in the St. Cloud diocese), the youth prayed in adoration before the Eucharist in the Sprint Center before filing out to participate in AN INCREDIBLY LARGE eucharistic procession.
I watched as the police, the Knights of Columbus, a string of seminarians, priests and bishops (including Bishop Peter Christensen of Superior and Bishop John LeVoir of New Ulm) walked solemnly past, processing before the monstrance under a canopy. Behind, a sea of people walked by, praying the rosary and singing hymns. I joined in when I spotted the group from the Diocese of St. Cloud, and I was amazed at how the people just kept coming down the street (which had been blocked off by the police).
Incredible.
This is Catholic.
